Episode 14: Impact of COVID-19 on Greek Life

Cullen Stockmeyer and Connor Wood interview the Fraternity Chapter Presidents of SAE and ZBT at Georgia Tech to see how Greek Life has been impacted since the coronavirus outbreak in Spring of 2020. The presidents discuss the communication efforts being implemented between the Institute, IFC, and individual campus chapters to ensure safety measures and regulations are being followed both on and off campus. With major shifts in the traditional social cultures of Greek Life, the presidents also address the impact of their executive actions on campus through the support of their National Advisors. Examples include cutting back resident occupancy, maintaining affordable rents, implementing no-guest policies, ensuring daily cleaning is a disinfectant practice, fostering new forms of brotherhood bonding, and addressing mental health in these stressful times.
